The Vibe Check (Is this for me?)

  • We know how hard it is to find a therapist. It’s draining to scroll through lists only to get no reply or find out they’re full. You shouldn’t have to feel like you’re constantly starting over—we’re here to help.

We want to eliminate that stress and make the process simple.

As a highly skilled professionals, we constantly undergo continuous training to ensure you receive the best care. What truly sets The Nest apart is our boutique therapy approach, which is designed to remain intimate and focused on building a strong, effective relationship with you.

Our commitment is to be a genuine and reliable part of your life, someone who is fully present and shows up for you consistently week after week.

  • That's a vital question. While we do have a specialized focus on the unique challenges and pressures faced by Millennial and Gen Z women and this is where we often do our "best work" our extensive clinical experience allows us to effectively support a broad and diverse clientele.

We proudly work with everyone who is ready for authentic change. The foundation of my practice is that therapy is a highly personalized experience. The true deciding factor for success is not your age or gender, but whether we share a strong therapeutic fit—a genuine connection where my expertise aligns with your needs.

If you are seeking support, we encourage you to schedule a free consult. Everyone is welcome to reach out and explore if we are the right match to help you achieve your goals.

  • The free initial consult is a crucial step because, while we am professionally trained and skilled, it's equally important that we stay in our lane to ensure you receive the most effective care.

    • It Ensures the Best Fit: Therapy only works when there is a strong, trusting relationship. The consult is a low-pressure way for you to assess our style and expertise, and for us to understand the nature of the challenges you are facing.

    • It Upholds Ethical Care: Our commitment is to your well-being. If, during the consultation, we determine that your needs are beyond our scope of expertise (e.g., severe addiction, specific disorders requiring a higher level of care, or a modality we don't specialize in), we will be completely transparent.

    • A Confident Referral: If your needs fall outside our practice, we are happy to use our professional network to connect you with the right person—a highly qualified specialist who can provide the targeted support you deserve.

The goal is to ensure that wherever you land, you are receiving the highest quality, most appropriate care possible.

  • Absolutely not. You don’t need a formal diagnosis, a crisis, or to hit rock-bottom (unless constantly feeling overwhelmed by everything on your calendar counts, which, perfectly valid). If something feels off—even subtly—that’s your valid reason to explore support. Therapy is an opportunity for clarity, profound connection, and ongoing healing at any stage of life.

  • Absolutely! Finding the right person is key, and your choice matters most to me. You are free to choose the therapist you feel most drawn to. If that specific therapist happens to have a full schedule right now, we will let you know immediately. Then, we can offer to introduce you to another skilled therapist on my team for a quick consult, so you still have a wonderful option to start your healing process right away.

  • Your privacy is our priority. Everything we discuss stays between us, unless safety becomes a concern. By law, we have to step in if there’s a risk of a child being hurt, or if you’re in immediate danger of harming yourself or someone else.

The office is conveniently inside the Revival Strength & Recovery wellness facility, next to Outlift Athletics, and is easily accessible from Stony Brook Hospital, Route 347, and Nicolls Road.

We also serve clients virtually across New York State.

The most exciting news of all- there is reserved parking for you!

  • Absolutely, yes. Your peace and privacy are our top priority. Our office is a private, completely separate, and confidential suite within the Wellness Center. It's designed with extra care to be your sanctuary—100% focused on you and fully separate from the gym operations.

Alicia chose this specific location so you could enter a total wellness environment, but our work together will always remain uninterrupted, predictable, and deeply confidential.

  • We offer in-person sessions at our office located at Tech Park at 13 Technology Drive, East Setauket.

The location is quite accessible, being centrally situated near Stony Brook Hospital, Route 347, and Nicolls Road. Most importantly, the office itself is intentionally designed to foster comfort, calm, and connection—a space crafted to help our therapeutic work truly stick.

  • Yes, virtual sessions are equally inviting and grounding. This is a perfect option if you prefer to connect from your own cozy space or have a busy schedule. We will still feel connected and you'll feel supported.

All virtual sessions are conducted securely through your dedicated client portal. This method ensures that our conversations remain private and protected via an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant platform.

  • Our first session is 60 minutes. After that, our sessions are around 45-50 minutes long.

The Investment (No financial surprises here)

  • This is one of the most important questions you can ask! Our goal is to make your financial investment feel manageable and totally transparent.

We offer several payment options to find the right fit for you:

    1. Insurance Benefits (Let Us Handle the Headache)

Yes, we work with many major insurance plans as an in-network provider and can also provide documentation for out-of-network benefits.

Honestly, navigating insurance is complex—even plans within the same company (like Blue Cross Blue Shield) can vary wildly. We don't want to give you the wrong info!

Here's our promise: Our team will run a free, confidential benefits check for you. This will clarify your exact copay, deductible costs, and in-network status before we start, so there are no financial surprises.

    2. Private Pay & Sliding Scale

Private Pay: We accept private pay for clients who prefer flexibility and full privacy from insurance companies. We can discuss my standard session fee and how this option works during your consult.

Limited Sliding Scale: We reserve a limited number of spots for a sliding scale for those experiencing financial hardship.

Ready for the Easiest Next Step?

Schedule a free 30-minute consult We'll use that time to initiate your benefits check and discuss the absolute best payment option and specific session fees for your situation. Let's make this part easy!

  • We aim to make payment simple and secure. We accept all major credit cards, Zelle, and Venmo.

To secure your client portal access and ensure seamless billing, we require a credit card to be kept securely on file. We are unable to accept cash.

  • We offer a limited number of sliding scale spots. Please reach out for availability.

  • Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to understand the cost of your care upfront.

What this means for you: You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) detailing the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, including therapy sessions and related fees.

This estimate is provided to clients who are not using insurance or who do not have insurance.

We will provide your Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one (1) business day before your first scheduled service. You can also request a GFE at any time before scheduling.

Keep your estimate! If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge.

My commitment is to transparent, open financial conversations. Please ask for your Good Faith Estimate during your consult or before we begin our work together.
