In-Person Therapy | Greenpoint, Brookyln Brooklyn therapy that
actually fits into your life.
The Nest now offers in-person sessions in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, right at the border of Williamsburg, for those who want the quality of boutique therapy without the commute to Long Island. Same team, same level of care, a new borough.
A space that was chosen
on purpose.
WHERE YOU'LL FIND USOur Brooklyn sessions are held at Held Space BK, a collective wellness space at 960 Manhattan Ave in Greenpoint. Held Space was built around the idea that healing happens better in community, and we chose it for exactly that reason. It's warm, intentional, and nothing like a clinical waiting room. Think less appointment, more somewhere you actually want to show up.
Can't make it in person? Virtual sessions are available anywhere across New York State, same therapist, same quality of care, just from wherever you actually are.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Johanna Schwartz, LCSW
TherapistFor over a decade Johanna has been the therapist for the ones who are everyone's strong friend, the person who handles the crisis, coordinates the dinner, and keeps the family peace while running on fumes. Brooklyn based and deeply familiar with the specific pressure of navigating this city while holding everyone else together. If you're ready to finally be the one who gets supported, Johanna's your person. Sessions available on Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings.
Easier to get to than you think.
HOW TO FIND US960 Manhattan Ave,
New York, NY (Greenpoint, Brooklyn)
Held Space BK is easily accessible via the G train and the B43 and B62 buses. Street parking is also available in the neighborhood for those coming by car.
There's something
about being in
the room.
The Presence AdvantageVirtual therapy is genuinely effective and we offer it proudly. But there's something specific that happens when you physically leave your environment, walk into a dedicated space, and show up in person. The commute becomes a transition. The room becomes a container. The hour finally feels like it belongs to you.
The full picture.
In person your therapist can read your body language, your energy, the things you're not quite saying. That depth accelerates connection and deepens the work in ways that are harder to access on a screen.
A space that's just yours.
No kitchen table, no bedroom corner, no shared walls. One hour in a room dedicated entirely to your growth, where stressors stay at the door and you don't have to hold it together for anyone.
A built-in transition.
The drive there and back becomes part of the process. You arrive ready to work and leave with space to let it land before real life starts again.

frequently asked questions-
Honestly, both work and both are equally supported at The Nest. In person tends to be a good fit if you want a clear separation between your therapy space and the rest of your life, or if you feel like being physically present helps you show up more fully. Virtual is ideal if your schedule is unpredictable, you're further from our offices, or you just do your best work from your own space. Not sure? Tell us your situation on the vibe check call and we'll help you figure out what makes the most sense for you.

Yes. We understand that mental health support needs to fit into your real life, not the other way around. We offer weekday evening appointments to accommodate busy schedules, and Jamie offers Sunday availability for those who need something outside traditional business hours. Just let us know your preferences when you reach out and we'll find something that works.

Transparency is everything here. The Nest operates as an out-of-network provider, which means we don't bill insurance directly, but many clients have out-of-network benefits that cover a significant portion of sessions without even realizing it. Our team will run a free courtesy benefits check before you commit to anything so you have a clear picture of your costs upfront. We also offer private pay and a limited number of sliding scale spots for those experiencing financial hardship. The easiest way to sort the financial side is a free 30-minute vibe check call where we'll walk through everything together.
Still have questions? We have answers.
Ready to show up for yourself?
