Jamie Edwards, LCSW-R
E. Setauket · Virtual Across NYHello, I’m Jamie! For 16 warm years right here on Long Island, I’ve specialized in helping people exactly like you get back into alignment. It is my genuine honor to create a safe, judgment-free space where your brilliant mind can finally find peace.
I get it. You're the one with the million ideas, the packed schedule, and the Sunday dread that hits before the week even starts. You thrive on good energy, but lately the internal static is so loud you can't hear yourself think.
I know that version of stuck because I've lived on Long Island my whole life, teaching myself how to find flow in the middle of the noise. Sixteen years of showing up for people exactly like you has taught me one thing: the chaos isn't who you are. It's just what happens when your brilliant mind doesn't have the right container yet.
That's exactly why I'm here. To help you build one, so Sunday mornings feel like a reset instead of a countdown.
This Is Your
Sunday Reset.
Sixteen years of helping driven, stuck, over-scheduled people find their flow. Sessions with Jamie are your one dedicated hour to sort the chaos, process the noise, and actually move forward instead of just managing it.
Your ideas finally have a runway.
No more good plans paralyzed by the mental pile-up. We create the structure your mind actually needs to execute.
The static quiets down.
We get to the root of what's hijacking your focus and your energy, so you can stop white-knuckling through the week.
You show up differently on Monday.
Grounded, clear, and actually ready. Not just surviving the week but moving through it with intention.
The Experience Behind the Work
Sixteen years on Long Island, working with real people navigating real pressure. I'm not observing this community from the outside. I know the school district stress, the competitive culture, the pace that never really lets up. That context walks into the room with me before a session even starts.
I bring it alongside the clinical training, the evidence-based tools, and the genuine investment in where you're actually trying to go. You won't have to translate your world for me. I already speak it.
Who I Work With
I work with adults, women, men, and professionals across Long Island and virtually across New York State. If you're navigating anxiety, anger, trauma, ADHD, relationship patterns, or a life transition that's knocked you sideways, and you're ready to stop white-knuckling it and actually move forward, you're exactly who I had in mind.
How I Work
My approach blends structure with warmth, because your ADHD brain needs both. I pull from CBT and Brief Strategic Therapy to create the kind of clear, actionable framework that actually moves you forward, alongside Inner Child Healing and Family Systems work to address what's underneath the patterns. I also incorporate Mindfulness and Reality-Based Focus to keep us grounded in what's actually happening in your life right now, not just what happened before. Every session has a point, a direction, and a reason. No circling, no venting into the void.
Availability
I offer in-person sessions at The Nest's East Setauket office and virtually anywhere across New York State. I also hold dedicated Sunday appointments for those who need something outside traditional business hours, making it easier to build therapy into your life without sacrificing everything else on your plate.

ABOUT ME
Outside the office you'll find me deep in a new recipe, wrapped in a blanket with candles going and a good book in hand, or doing movie nights with my family. I'm a homebody at heart who also somehow always ends up at a music festival or fall festival before the season's over.
Born and raised on Long Island, I'm now raising my own family right here in the same community.
My wellness routine keeps me grounded: yoga, meditation, journaling, and yes, crystals. I take my self-care seriously because I know firsthand that you can't pour from an empty cup.
Let's see if we're the right fit.
